Youth Night, August 2018

This month, we had fun with drip painting at the YMCA, then ended the night swimming in the wonderful pool! We are so grateful for our partnership with the YMCA! Click on the pictures to see the beautiful art that was created!

Youth Field Trip

Lakeia took some of the youth to the Memphis Escape Rooms for a group field trip!  There's nothing quite like stepping into a new escape room experience.  It consumes your senses all at once, and you feel like you've been transported to another world.

We don't want to take that away from you.  That's why we keep the inside of our rooms secret: to preserve the awe and wonder for you to experience.

As a result, you won't find pictures of our rooms here or anywhere else.  So come experience them for yourself, and see how we are providing the most creative, immersive, and well-maintained escape rooms anywhere.

Youth Night at the Olive Branch YMCA

This month, we were joined by Olivia from Families First and Ms. Wanda from Operation Hope. Ms. Wanda spoke to the group about the importance of budgeting, financial matters and credit!

We ended the night with a fun basketball game!

Scroll through the pictures to check out the fun!

Families First Safety and Wellness Fair

NFusion Staff set up a table at Families First Safety and Wellness Fair in Hernando on June 9th. We had a great time meeting families in Desoto County, other agencies such as Apellah, The Hope Center, Health Department, etc. We were able to spread the word about our upcoming Teen Op Conference!

Youth Night with Stacy Dodd

At Youth Night, we had Stacy Dodd from the Hope Center speak about his journey and his current endeavors to encourage and support all members of Desoto County.

Don't Stand By, Stand Up

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and to bring awareness to Mental Health in Desoto County, we held an Anti-Bullying Poster Contest and Rally at the Olive Branch YMCA. Matt Leach, father and co-founder of Andy's Voice, was our guest speaker.   He spoke about the recent suicide of his 12 year old son, Andy Leach, as a result of the bullying that he faced on a daily basis. Andy's Voice is paving the way for change in the state of Mississippi and how bullying is dealt with for our children.

Special thanks to the YMCA for allowing us to use their space, Matt Leach for speaking on such a difficult topic, and the Olive Branch Police Department for their attendance and support!

Healthy Kids Day

We joined the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South branches in celebrating YMCA Healthy Kids Day®! Healthy Kids Day is Y-USA’s annual, nationwide initiative designed to inspire all youth, parents, and caregivers – regardless of membership status – to get active and make healthy choices over the summer and beyond!
We were able to reach out to many members of our community and offer our services, partnerships, and tell the community about our upcoming events!

Parade of Lights

NFusion youth had a blast getting ready for the Parade of Lights! We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm. It was cold but our youth had warm hearts as they tossed candy and goodies to the children in the crowd and spread the message that "Everyone is a Gift to Someone." Thank you Southaven Chamber of Commerce for your hard work planning the parade!

A Fair

The NFusion team had a wonderful expereince on Saturday at the A-Fair in Hernando, MS. We met so many people, many of whom reached out about themselves or a loved one who could benefit from our services! We loved being able to network and give out our NFusion promotional items! The community of DeSoto County was so open and eager to learn more about what we do and how we are working to reach youth in our county! Two of our staff also attended the Hope Center launch party event at Horn Lake Intermediate School as we were invited by our friend and community stakeholder Stacy Dodd- He is doing amazing things and is also excited about networking with NFusion- we appreciate his support!
